A few more ideas for Flash movies.

Posted by FightingSeraph Feb. 19, 2009 @ 8:33 PM EST

The first five are satirical in nature.

1. Angel Sanctuary Hyper Dub: Here's something for those who liked Tomamoto and ]{ombat's parody videos, but done in a satirical fashion. I have no intention on insulting Kaori Yuki or her series, but to discourage the likes of Transformers Bastardized.

2. Shane's Nintendo Spoofs: In the vein of Metal Gear Funnies and Super Marrio Parodies is one hell of a mockery of the Nin10Doh! collabs; only that it not only mocks them, but also has a very psychotic twist at the end.

3. Portal Douchebags: No, it's not related to a certain computer game. Rather, it trashes various flash cartoonists and voice actors in a fucked up way.

4. Baroque Taunts: A perfect foil for those overrated and unfunny Brawl Taunts cartoons.

5.Rush Limbaugh's Hypocrisy: Even America's Anchorman needs to be knocked down a peg or two.

These next ones are anything goes:

6. Mega Shane: A parody of the American Mega Man minus the internet fads that tend to plague parodies these days.

7. Shane Skekel vs. Naruto: I'm not giving away the synopsis.

8. Fiero Pink Begins: Here's something that would give Japanese transforming girl shows, Masters of the Universe, and Witchblade some competition.

9. Greyscale: It's just a black and white cartoon with no background gags, satires, symbolism, etc.

10. Meat Man attacks!: He's come to bring ruin to Animal Rights groups, conspiracy nuts, religious fanatics, and whoever pisses him off.

Things on my mind Datatrack 11

Posted by FightingSeraph Feb. 15, 2009 @ 10:15 PM EST

Last datatrack

1. The Story of Khale: I just saw the two episodes that were made, and they were spectacular and shows that westerners can still animate well. I think that Legendary Frog, Hans van Haarken, and Notorious could learn something from LeafWorthy's series. I hope Leaf doesn't cancel it or do something that will turn it into a shitpile.

2. Kirby: I like Kirby and the rest of the various characters in that franchise, but I think it's time Nintendo and Hal Labs found a way to re-invent the pink puff-ball. The anime was alright, but suffered from being too repetitive. Kirby Air Ride, while not up to par with the Wind Waker and both of the Metroid Prime games, proved that Kirby has some fully 3d potential.

3. Oddworld (continued from DT 6): I loved Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exodus, and Munch's Oddysee as much as I do Nintendo. Even though lampooning consumerism is lame now, there was something about posessing Sligs and what not. As for the upcoming movie, I hope that Lorne Lanning and the Oddworld gang don't fuck it up. Fun Fact: Aside from being the creator of the series, Lorne did most of the character voices.

4. Halo: I liked playing the first one, but I haven't played the second or third. However, this series just lacked the charm that Goldeneye for the N64 had. I hope that Microsoft doesn't turn this into a pointless, greedy series like those sports simulators that EA re-releases every year. As for the flak it gets, I can see where those who downrate it are coming form. However, how come it's ok to trash Halo, but not Half-Life or Grand Theft Auto?

5. Fine art: I love old paintings and what not, but I am getting sick of people using fine art to advance their biased agendas and the rest of us. This, of course, is why I love stuff like Yes, It Doesn't because it proves that art does not need the pretension that is associated with it. I like to draw and paint, but the pretentious atmosphere that surrounds fine art makes me want to puke bile.

6. YouTube Poop: I hate these damned videos more than certain animators toward sprite movies. They aren't funny at all and this is coming from someone who likes crude, leud, and rude humor. I'd rather take Link's Quest For Ass, Rats on Cocaine, or The Lloyds over any YTP video any day. If you're going to do something based on the SMB Super Show, et al; take a good look at Clark Lybeck's "The Color of Envy."

7. Mike Judge: I love Beavis and Butt-Head and it could have lasted for another year. I thought King of the Hill was alright and better than Family Guy and Futurama. I also liked Office Space. However, I don't know what to think about The Goode Family so far.

8. CastleVania: I thought CV 64 turned out alright and I liked Super CastleVania 4. Beside that, I think it's time for Konami to find someone else to do CastleVania. Just how many times do they have to use the Symphony of the Night formula and graphics? The series has potential beyond 2D, but Konami has yet to harness it.

A few quotes, links, and videos.

Posted by FightingSeraph Feb. 11, 2009 @ 6:15 PM EST

Here's some stuff I would like to share, but chances are that many here would find some of this unpalatable.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."
-Unknown contributor to Thunder roads magazine.

This is for all of you 'liberal' and Socialist morons out there. Not that the conservatives are any better, though.

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings."
-Optimus Prime

Still a quote that I treasure.

"Clarity of thought before the rashness of action."
-Shockwave

Here's something that's so true, yet isn't implemented much.

"A good shot is worth more than a good intention."
-Warpath

With the quotes out of the way, now here's some links.

Wayne Allyn Root-I would rather have him as president over either Obama or McCain anyday.

Mardi Gras 2009

Posted by FightingSeraph Feb. 8, 2009 @ 10:29 PM EST

Anybody attending Mardi Gras this year? Then again, I'm not a parade guy, but there will be Jim Belushi, Carlos Mencia (I think he's funny, I don't fucking care what you dipshits think), and plenty of titty on Bourbon Street (and I'm not just talking about flashing for beads here). Too bad I didn't mention Slidell's Krewe of Bilge, which took place a week or so ago. It's a boat parade that takes place at Eden Isles, for those who don't know.

PS: Space Invaders Extreme is the best game of 2008.

Update: Here's some more links, but there isn't much.

Mr. Jack-Another one of my favorites on ConceptArt.org.

Schwer and Schwer Alike-A RosenKreuz Stilette web log.

La Carne-My friend's web log; not for those who don't know what a deep person is, but know what a shallow person is.

A few more overrated movies.

Posted by FightingSeraph Feb. 1, 2009 @ 7:01 PM EST

Here's the original:
http://fightingseraph.newgrounds.com/n ews/post/225598

1. Titanic: Ugh, this was boring as hell, yet it still gets rave reviews. I'll take The Abyss over Titanic anyday.

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2007): Even though the animation was excellent, but I think it would've been better off without the celeb actors or the Futurama gama. I can credit the people behind this for getting Mako from Conan the Destroyer as Splinter.

3. Blade (all three of them): I never liked this series and found them to be pretty damned uninteresting. I'll take Spawn over these.

4. Spider-Man 2: A lot of people didn't like part 3 for various reasons, but I thought this one was a disappointment over the first one.

5. Casino Royale: What's with the hype? This Bond flick has been blown out of proportion, and is one of the reasons why I steer clear of any 007 flick made after The World Is Not Enough.

6. Airplane!: Even though Iike The Naked Gun movies and Spy Hard, this doesn't hold a candle when compared to those or Airplane II: The Sequel!

7. Liar Liar: To be honest, I actually enjoyed watching this. However, I thought Jim Carrey's other stuff was better than this.

8. Scary Movie 2: Even though I prefer this over anything made after this, I'm including this for the same reasons as Epic Movie. Plus, David Cross, one of the actors from Arrested Development, played the crippled researcher in this one.

9. Napoleon Dynamite: For the same reason as many of the other movies on this list: very, very dull.

10. The Matrix Revolutions: A weak conclusion to two movies I liked.

News and a rant

Posted by FightingSeraph Jan. 22, 2009 @ 7:10 PM EST

I'm a newshound and you can give me the benefit of a doubt, but since Facebook is not Opera-friendly; I'm posting my news links here.

Obama's enviromental hypocrisy-I can credit him for shutting down that Guantanamo Bay camp, but that doesn't change the fact that Obama is a clueless dipshit.

Politics and science Don't Mix-Mixing biased political beliefs with scientific research is anti-science all in itself.

Junkfood Science: What do Healthy eating and Lifestyles have in common with woo?-Woo woo is slang for questionable beliefs and the assholes that perpetuate them.

How Enviromentalists are getting away with GMO deceit-This is why Patrick Moore left GreenPeace.

Hawaii Free Press: Organic food tied to roundworm contamination-I have no comments for this one.

Metroid 2: Return of Samus remake

Government-run healthcare discriminates against the handicapped.-I loooove anything that will make free healthcare supporters shit their pants when they see someone tearing apart their gris-gris.

Plus, a rant that isn't from Foamy or Maddox:

Even though I would like to see more hand animated flash cartoons here; I won't discourage anyone who use tweened animation (as in lots of rotation and scaling). Unlike certain cartoonists, I take effort into consideration when it comes to rating cartoons here, whether it is some tried-and-true tweened cartoon by LegendaryFrog or a hand animated spectacle by Adam Phillips. For a site like this, animation quality does not matter most of the time. That is what the other aspects of the cartoon come in. I have a few example comparisons that prove this viewpoint:
1. Kirbopher's $00pah Nin10doh! had excellent animation that was brought down by its jokes, which were old, repetitive, and weren't meant for such professional animation*. On the other hand, Rats on Cocaine by Dean Packis had graphics that reminded me of the early flash portal (1999-2001), but most of the episodes are really funny (ep. 10 is a laugh riot).
2. McFretN's cartoons and games are still enjoyable even though they're past their prime; whereas Ebolaworld has only one or two cartoons that are enjoyable to an extent regardless of the art and animation quality.
I could compare and contrast more cartoonists here, but I'm not in the mood to do so. One thing that I'm sick of are flash cartoonists who use current events as their plots. Like the randomly placed gags of Family Guy, using current events for plotlines is becoming an excuse for writers to be lazy and uncreative these days. Look, it worked for the Simpsons until that show's writers decided to counter Seth McFarlane's attempt at doing something similar. It worked for South Park until 2002; that's when Trey Parker and Matt Stone went overboard. Hell, it worked for Y.A.A.F.M. even though The_Walrus pissed off a lot of people for going after Michael Moore and Muslims. Just because satire worked for the aforementioned to an extent doesn't mean that others should follow in their footsteps. I'm also sick of people who can draw and animate, but have no real talent when it comes to comedy, storytelling, etc. To those I say "Instead of trashing instant frontpage cartoonists, why not try learning how make yours better?"
*=I have nothing against Kirbopher, but I didn't find $00pah! Nin10doh! funny.

The Dalai Lama was visited by Adolf Hitler during the 1930s (this is why the Nazis got the swastika). If you thought that was upsetting, the Lama class of monks were living in luxury while the rest of the Tibetans were subject to things much worse than what Mao Zedong did.

Sexual Intercourse increases public speaking skills.

Most technology that is used today was invented during war.

Four of the VAs in the original Transformers show also did voices for Challenge of the Go-Bots.

Several b-days in a week.

Posted by FightingSeraph Jan. 17, 2009 @ 8:27 PM EST

First, Rubberninja announced Egoraptor's birthday. Then, came Bug's b-day, which was on the same day as one of my friends' b-day. That was followed by The-Titan a day or two after that. Now, today is my birthday, which makes me 24 now. I've been procrastinating a lot, but I would like to actually get a few flash cartoons completed. That is including a voice demo soundboard that definitely needs my attention (as soon as I finish reading The Watchmen).

Update: The Nazis supported an abortion ban
