...at the same time. Even though I never saw Twilight (or Buffy the Vampire Slayer for that matter), I understand where you're coming from. I saw an anime called Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and was boring & stupid as hell. As for the actual parody:
The animation, while not up to par with what you see on TV or in theaters, is enough to get the point across (the way it should be on NG). I also commend your lip synchronization skills, which were better that what you usually see here. Truth is, I'm getting sick of frame-by-frame/hand-drawn animation zealots who think they run the portal and would like to see them get lampooned. Plus, those gag posters were pretty damned witty although they could have used some more variation such as "Another Scary Movie Sequel/Knockoff" and "Popular Anime Movie That Is Boring As Hell Yet Gets Rave Reviews." The sound is another one of this parody's high points with excellent voice acting and enjoyable outro song. However, there's no sound effects, but you didn't need them for that would drown out the diologue. Speaking of which, it was really funny and made good use of the actual movie quotes.
What I liked:
-Witty
-Good art and animation
-Good voice acting
-Sums up my thoughts about Teeny-bopper flicks in a succinct and funny way.
What I didn't like:
-Posters could have used more variation.
-The easter eggs are superfluous, but those are just minor nitpicks.
Overall: Like Baron von Brunk, you are one of the pioneers of parody. Here's your ten for your sharp wit and smart writing.
Author's Response:
Thank you for the compliments, good sir, I appreciate you taking your time to write all that! Glad you enjoy my work!
And yeah, I agree that the posters could've had more to them. But that was more of a background joke anyway, so I figured it'd be okay to only have three. Thanks again for watching!

Even though I chuckled at this, it still doesn't compensate for the fact that this copies off of NG Sticks and Portal Detour. The art was well done in several parts, but could have been animated better. I don't have a beef with hentai, but the jabs at hentai cartoonists was a bit enjoyable.
What I did like:
-Chuckleworthy
-The taunts at people who use internet fads as joke material.
-Decent art quality
What I didn't like:
-Too much like Portal Detour and NG Sticks, which were made back in 2000-2001.
-Could have been funnier, as well as animated better.
Overall: Here's your seven, but I think it is time you guys came up with your own ideas instead of copying off of older flash cartoons.
Author's Response:
has nothing to do with originality im just pointing out the facts and ppl find it funny. its funny because ive never heard of those, they must have been pretty funny....

This reminds me of the following:
A: Robot on Robot
B: 50s and 60s cartoons (in a good way)
I'm surprised that this hasn't made the top 50, but the score that it has is still worthy of celebration. Now with that out of the way, onto the review:
Artwise, it is well done and very stylish. To quote Bruce Lee (I don't know if he actually said that): "When one has no style, one can fit in with any style." Even though Hans Van Harken has a similar drawing style; the style in this video was much better due to the character designs used in it. Then there is the actual animation, which is a great blend of tweening and frame-by-frame. Reminds me of the earlier frame by frame stuff in the portal (2000-2002). So, there are no complaints from me in that department. I also loved that song you guys used; it matched the cartoon so well that it would rival the likes of Thriller.
What I liked about this:
-Great song
-Stylish
-Great animation
-Cool-looking robot
What I didn't like:
-People will accuse you of copying off of Baron von Brunk and Hans Van Harken.
-No subtitles.
Overall: For doing an excellent music video for a band I never heard of (and a kick ass one at that); here's a ten.
Author's Response:
hans is a good friend of mine, i've animated once for him on a game he was making

Dave Lovelace, you managed to prove that RAB will never be bad. Hell, nine-tenths of all of the cartoonists and voice actors here could learn a lot from you. It makes me want to do something that is at least six times as disgusting and hilarious at once. Enough of that, let the actual review to begin...
The art may not have changed, but if it isn't broke, just don't fix it. I liked how you added a lot more characters in this one even though they are just minor characters and they are as enjoyable as the main cast (including Puppy's cousin). Animation wise, both the frame by frame and tweening were excellent as always. In other words, there's no complaints from me in that department.
The voice work is top notch and would give Egoraptor and the Press Start crew a run for their money. Then there is the humor; I laughed throughout the entire thing, even though the scene after the credits dragged on for a bit. Nice use of callback humor on that stereo system.
What I liked about this:
-Downright hilarious
-Art and animation quality that still rocks; especially the lip syncing.
-Great voice acting.
-Original scenario as always
What I didn't like about this:
-The fact that this is a sequel, but who fucking cares?
Overall: Here's your ten, Dave. However, as much as this series is hilarious; I suggest that you broaden your horizons more.

"Just when I thought you were getting stale..."
...you manage to become outright funny. There are times when you fall short of your intended reaction, but I will never complain about your Awesome cartoons. However, with all the fanmade Awesome and knockoffs, I think it is time for you to broaden your horizons (e. g. Music video, Fight to the Death, mocking something that has not been done before, etc.). With that out of the way, on to the actual review. Artwise, It is just like the other Awesome cartoons, while not bad, is starting to get a wee bit stale. Then again, it is easier to animate bad drawings than good to great ones. I'm not going to complain about the voicework, you're better than every other voice actor on the site with a few exceptions. I liked how you pulled off a much more somber tone of voice in this one. As for the rest of the content, it's funnier than what a lot of people (including certain professional cartoonists) submit here. Even though I don't own an X-Box 360 or Crackdown, I liked how you decided to do that game instead of an overexposed title.
What I do Like:
-Funny as hell
-You chose a game that has not been done before. An example of how a videogame spoof should be done.
-Great voicework
-Great animation
What I do not like:
-The fact that Awesome is getting stale from all those fanflash and knockoffs.
Overall: For proving that you can still be funny when we have seen it all. I'm giving you a ten for making me laugh, and do something that you have not done before.

This is just an example of how a dramatic art flash should be done. There is nothing worthwhile to describe this, so I'll be brief: The animation, while not your best, is still better than much of the stuff here. The music is perfect and shows that selection is key when doing a soundtrack for something like this. The last thing I want to hear in a cartoon like this is Counterfeit God by Black Label Society (It may be a great song, but it doesn't belong in a cartoon unless it is a music video).
What I do like:
-Near great animation
-Excellent music
-Original Concept (I have no problem with parodies & tributes, but a good one of those is hard to come by these days)
What I didn't like:
-Lag in the beginning
Overall: I think that a big chunk of the animators on this site could learn something from you, Toniko. Here's a ten, and here's hoping that we see more stuff from you.

While this may have been a copy of Pico Epilogue, Fallen Angel (The Nuke part), and Überkid's Revenge; I enjoyed this very much. Firstly, the art and the animation were excellent. I'm talking about the type the Adam Phillips, RTil, and Toniko Pantoja are synonymous with. Second, the music was perfect for this; just how long did it take you to find that song? As for the content: well-executed, but it could have better (read: without the overused Over 9000 joke). I'm getting tired of seeing people pulling their jokes from 4chan, YTMND, or YouTube; it's cheap, uncreative, and annoying. It's also accessible to low-performance/outdated computers such as mine.
What I liked about this:
-The "Boner" gag on the gun.
-Excellent animation
-Great song
-Perfect pacing
-Accessible to low end/outdated computers
What I didn't like:
-Use of an overused internet gag
-Too much like Pico Epilogue, Überkid's Revenge, and Fallen Angel
Overall: Here's a nine out of ten, but it's better if you came up with your own ideas rather than copying from other flash cartoons. Then again, everyone else on here is guilty of this as well.

"I may like Kirbopher as a voice actor,..."
...But enough is enough! And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks that Rina-Chan is stale from overexposure (and a lousy writer to boot). I've seen both this and the first one and it is pretty obvious that this is way funnier than all three of the Brawl Taunts cartoons. To all of you who didn't get the joke: this was meant to be satirical of Kirb and the poor direction he went after Mario RPG: Rawest Forest. With that out the way, on with the review:
While the animation was piss-poor for most of the shorts, they were adequate for the point that they made. RTil's short on the other hand, was excellent in that department. I have no problem with sex cartoons, but I liked that jab at VadimGod. Soundwise, it was also enough to get the point across. As for the humor: Balls out hilarious! The jabs at 4Chan, the fact that it was a collab, etc. were spot on and I cannot speak about this any further.
What I did like:
-Proper use of bad animation and sound.
-RTil's short had excellent animation and sound.
-The fact that you tapped into Kirb using 4Chan fads for his jokes.
-The Cracks on VadimGod and Rina-Chan
-Lots of Laughs
What I didn't like:
-No cracks on the rest of the VA Club/Alliance.
-The fact that videogame spoofs have been around so long that even satire like this has no effect.
Overall: I was laughing hysterically at this and the first part! Looks like I won't make Baroque Taunts now. However, I will go after you guys (along with various others) in a flash that I want to make some time. Here's a nine for both parts.

This is better than most of the stuff on here. Sure it may be a bit derivative (seeing that it has things not dissimilar to Resident Evil and 24), but I have seen much worse. The acting in this one may not match Orson Welles or Mel Blanc; but for everyday people, it out does most low-budget, straight-to-video stories. Hell, you might give Dark Maze's V for Vile shorts a run for their money. I also appreciate the fact that you used audio portal music that isn't from Paragon X9 (and this is coming from someone who is a fan of his work). Plus, your selection added to the atmosphere that this short film was trying to build up. As for the camera work: I don't know anything about camera positioning, but you and your friends did a great job at that. I also liked the blood effects as well.
What I like:
-Decent acting for something made on a shoestring budget.
-Proper camera angles
-Appropriate music selection
-Good image quality
-Shoestring budget special effects done right.
-The length
What I didn't like
-People will start accusing you of ripping off Resident Evil and 24, but who are they to criticize?
Overall: I'm getting sick of people downrating this just because it's a live video. Hell, I have a rant about video files on my page. I am giving this a nine because I enjoyed it for what it is. This almost makes me want to do my own live video stuff.
Author's Response:
I'm pretty sure I didn't put on NG that this was inspired by 24, and if I didn't, I'm thrilled you picked up that it was. 24 isn't the only show to use tons of rocky handheld shots but I really love that style of video. Imitating someone else's style is often how people come to develop their own. I also really enjoyed putting some audio portal artists out there for people to listen to. I know I'm REALLY guilty of it in my old work (but there was no audio portal back then and I was a teenager who didn't care about legit music), but I can't stand people taking music from a movie score and throwing it in their flash these days with all the great music to choose from in the audio portal. Do you have any videos elsewhere on the net? If you're really into making shorts, you ought to get into the ring with everyone over at Filmfights.

"The best political cartoon on this site."
As a libertarian, I approve of the message this very cartoon has. A lot of people may not like the Jib Jab graphical style, but it gets the job done. Plus, the lipsynchronization is spot on for many of the characters in this. The sound was also great with no problems from any standpoint. Of course, the aforementioned takes a backseat to the writing which was smart and original. I also enjoyed those jabs at Barack and Hillary you did.
What I liked:
-A good example of smart writing when compared to most of the political cartoons here.
-Good animation, especially the lipsyncing.
-Good voice acting and sound.
-The Libertarian theme and the jabs at both Dems and Repubs.
What I didn't like:
-No Wayne Allyn Root, another Libertarian candidate who almost got the LP nomination.
-Not everyone will like the Jib Jab style.
-No taunts aimed at Al Gore, Bobby Jindal, David Vitter, or Joe Lieberman.
Overall: There needs to be more Libertarian-themed cartoons here, and you have done a great job, Nate. Here's a Nine for this, and I hope you and Steve make more of these pro-Libertarian cartoons.
