I think that you did a much better job than Space Wing. Designwise, the player crafts look much better, but they still are in need of improvement as far as looks. Enemy designs, on the other hand, are rather ugly (especially that tank-like enemy). I think that you need either one of two things:
1. A better machine designer.
2. Improve on your own design skills.
Also, have some scenery in the stages; flying around in space is repetitive. For your bosses, when they get weakened to the next phase; don't just have them change attack patterns, have some of the outer parts fly off. If you did that for your next space shooter, that would be great.
The music may not be something to win awards, but it isn't obnoxious or droll. I noticed that you used the stage clear theme from Blue Wish Resurrection; why didn't you credit x.x, the company behind it? I liked how you used sound effects from various independent computer games which need to be promoted more often. And now, the gameplay: It is just like the arcade games, only that you don't get killed as much on easy difficulty (something that bullet hell/DonPachi space shooters really need). You gave the player three ships instead of one, which is a plus; and I really liked that 1up bar as well. My only gripe is the lack of extra bomb powerups, which keeps this from being better than Metal Wrath.
What I like about this game:
-Ship Variety
-Decent music
-Good enemy attack patterns
-Good sound effects
-No Bugs
What I don't like about this game:
-Grammatical errors, you should have fixed them.
-Lack of level scenery/variety
-Ugly enemy design
-Graphics could have been better
Overall: In spite of it's flaws this game will get an eight out of ten.

"A great tribute to a great game!"
Denzel, you've outdone yourself again. Sure, you specialize in X-rated animation, but this blows what you've done away. First of all, the animation is excellent even though it lagged a bit (I'm using Flash player 10). However, the characters could have been done better with more detail, but that's trivial. This is how a fight scene in flash should be done, and few people have managed to get the choreography right. The music is how a metal soundtrack in a movie should be, and it matched the action. Unfortunately, The sound effects could have been better.
What I did like:
-Good animation
-Great choreography
-The song matches the subject material
-Nice twist with the second boss.
What I didn't like:
-The characters could have used more detail.
-Banal Sound effects.
Conclusion: Here's a nine out of ten.

"You know how to impress people."
Even though I wrote a review to Metal Gear Funnies, I've decided to review your "deluxe edition" of your part. Firstly, the characters were well-animated and I loved that "Nerd from Hell" caricature even though some of my friends are fat nerds. The only problem with this is that there is an animation error where Snake throws the ball, and his Five 'o Clock Shadow is gone. Soundwise, the music selection was perfect, and the voices are well done. However, the sound of Snake's voice was off, but chances are that you don't give a shit. Then there's the content: You intended this to be satire against the deluge of videogame parodies and that therein lies the problem. Videogame parodies and sprite movies have been around for eight years, to the point where even satire like this has no effect on them. If you want to kill the medium that you consider an idiocity and get more people to create original cartoons; then you need to create more original cartoons and encourage originality.
What I liked about this:
-Great animation
-The Nerd from Hell caricature
-Great voice acting
-The Music selection
What I didn't like:
-One Continuity Error
-The fact that satire like this has no effect and won't contribute to anything.
Overall: Here's your nine out of ten, but you may want to continue your Project Freetown series instead of wasting time with satire.
Author's Response:
i'm not interested in having an effect on video game parodies, nor am i naive enough to have ever believed i would (although i have changed people's minds indirectly in the past). i do this because i enjoy it, just the same reason as anyone else would make the cartoons that they do. or at least i would hope.

I'm going to rate this for quality instead of my feelings towards you (which aren't pretty). First, while the graphics are simplistic, they add to this instead of detracting from it. However, there isn't much in terms of actual animation, but the parts that were animated were done well. Soundwise, the choice not to use sound effects neither helps nor hinders this, but the music needs to be more action oriented when cupid fights the demons. What worked in the very first part in this doesn't translate well in a fight scene. There's plenty of fight scene related music in the audio portal, but chances are that you can't find it there. As for the fight itself, you should have made it much faster and chaotic. However, that would take away from the drama, but that's a price to pay.
What I did like:
-Fresh take on Valentine Flash.
-Good frame-by-frame.
-Nice atmosphere.
What I didn't like:
-Slow battle
-Needed a more battle-oriented music score.
-Not enough animation for 30 Frames per second.
Conclusion: I'm going to be fair and give you a seven, because I'm not a snooty dickhead who thinks he's always right. You said this is not your best work, and it shows.

Sangmin Bang, you worked incredibly hard on this; and it has paid off. First of all, the animation is excellent for something like this. I have yet to see something top this that isn't Combat Instinct related. Second, the sound is perfect this time and it shows. Rather than use the mediocre voice cast of the previous episodes; you decided to use the Korean voice cast with English subtitles. Not to mention that the music and sound effects fit.
What I did like:
-Great Voice Acting
-Great Animation
-Quality Storytelling
-Excellent Character Designs
What I didn't like:
-The Man vs. Machine thing is cliched, but at least you made it work.
Overall: You are proof that South Korea can make its own animated stories, rather than animate Western fare. Therefore, Gunchest 03-1 deserves a ten for just kicking ass.

No offense, but this and the first one just weren't funny. I am sick of the Metal Gear series and have a low view of its fanbase. The truth is while some of the skits were well-animated, all of them were poorly-written (having Tomamoto write for Egoraptor is a no-no), and the voice acting (except for Ego and Johnny Utah) sucked. However, the music was decent and I like MC, Johnny, and Ego.
What I did like:
-Some of the sketches are well animated.
-Good Music
What I did not like:
-Beyond Egoraptor and Johnny Utah; the voice work sucked.
-Almost all of the jokes sucked (although Mindchamber's part was an exception).
Conclusion: As animation this succeeded, as comedy it failed. If you guys are going to do another Mega-collab, don't use Rina-Chan and/or Tomamoto. They suck as voice actors and they suck even more as writers.

This was much funnier than the official MGS collab, which was overhyped and boring. I am sick of the Metal Gear series and have a low view of its fanbase, and it's about time they were subject to the insult treatment. Now on to the review itself:
Graphically, this was mostly done to look bad on purpose with the exception of what RTil did. It's just like satirizing the "Awesome" series, only that much more thought was put into it.
Soundwise, this was also poorly done on purpose. However, I thought the voices that weren't poorly voiced were better than what Rina-Chan and Tomamoto did. Plus, some of the music used fit the situation well.
The Jokes were far better than those in the official collab, Mainly due to this being satire. Almost every part made me laugh, including the first part.
What I liked about MG Funnies:
-Intelligent satire of an overhyped game series, and the collab based on it.
-Proper use of poor animation.
-Sick and Vulgar in a funny way.
-Great voice acting on RTil's short.
-The music fit every short.
What I didn't like:
-No insults towards certain cartoonists who use memes as joke material.
-Some of the jokes weren't funny
Overall, I'm giving this a nine due to the fact that this is satire, and funny satire at that.

Baron von Brunk, you have out done yourself again with the follow-up to an underrated cartoon. The Polish guy was hard to hear, but he was funny nonetheless. While the animation wasn't the best this site has seen, it fit the kind of cartoon this was (read: the good kind of time waster). After all, this managed to beat a few "comedy" collabs in the laugh-induction department. Soundwise, it could have had subtitles to make it easier to understand, but you did each voice well for all of the characters that had lines.
What I did like:
-Really funny (especially the puking in church)
-The poorly-drawn cafe taunted the "Awesome" cartoons
-Good animation
-Good Voice Acting
What I did not like:
-Hard to hear at times (especially the Pollack Padelsky guy).
-Recycled Easter Egg, even though that made me laugh.
Overall: You are still one of my favorites, Brunk. Therefore, I'm giving you a ten out of ten.

...Even though the first one was great, you knew how to up the ante with a well-implemented mix of Flash, 3D, and Photoshop. The animation was well-done and could match old Disney and Warner cartoons from the '30s to the '50s. Not to mention the dos effects were cool. The sound, although it was from Half Life 2, it was a perfect fit, along with the voices (which didn't rely on overhyped and stale voice actors).
What I did like:
-The voice acting.
-The animation quality.
-The proper use of Half-Life 2 sound effects.
What I didn't like:
-Abrupt Ending, but It didn't bother me that much
The Score for this movie: Does a 10 out of 10 suit you? Because I think so.

"Truly one of the greatest moments I've seen."
It looks like you have caused quite a ruckus when this was first released, and you did a great job at it as well. First, the voice acting was well done (especially the fact that you did all the voices yourself). It's amazing one man can do with an axe to grind towards FF7 fans. Second, even though the animation was tween-based; it was well-implemented to the sufficient drawing this toon had. If you think you're the only one with a beef with FF; rest assured that you're not the only one. Besides, there's better games out there.
