More Old Cartoons that you never heard of.

Posted by FightingSeraph - March 28th, 2010

Around a month or so ago, I posted a few YouTube videos of old cartoons that very few people have heard about. Now, here are some more old cartoon discoveries:

John Carter on Mars:

In 1936, Bob Clampett wanted to team up with Edgar Rice Burroughs to adapt this series of science fiction books into a short, animated series. However, a Major Hollywood studio that was interested in the series cancelled it for that it might be too weird for the theater-going audience at the time. Oh yeah, that is Clampett's voice in the video.

Beany and Cecil

Another Bob Clampett cartoon, this one made in the mid-to-late 1950s/early '60s. However, it's much better than most of the crap from TV's early years that wasn't from Terrytoons.

Screwy Squirrel

Here's one character created by Tex Avery, but Tex didn't really like him very much in spite of how hilarious those cartoons were.

Well, that does it for the old cartoons...
Edit: Here's some more sordid political stuff:
Ottawa Citizen: The Real Threat to Civil Discourse-I Personally think Ann Coulter is an odious, self-absorbed, trashy fundamentalist, but what happened at the University of Ottawa is hypocritical on behalf of the people there.
Investors Business Daily: A War on Reality-This really shows how the liberal left is out of touch with the real world.
European Libertarians and Federalism
Libertarian Party: Obama Should End Afghanistan War-And you guys support Obama because...
Dan Mitchell: Gov't Unions Vs. Taxpayers
