I originally wanted to do a small collection of Halloween-themed cartoons, but upon hearing about Ben Spurgin's death; I cancelled it out of pity. Truth is, I usually do plenty of test animations before I do something ambitious, otherwise I get frustrated and cancel it. Believe me, I have tried to do several huge projects only to give up on them for at least five years (that's how long I have had Flash MX). However, I will make something worth submitting regardless of how original, long, or well-animated it is.

I've gotten back to playing Star Ocean, and it is still one of the best RPGs ever made. I haven't played the sequels, but judging from the videos from the PSP remake; I like the Super NES/Super Famicom original in terms of graphics, music and gameplay. Plus, it had both English and Japanese voices; one of those voices being done by Robert Belgrade from CV: Symphony of the Night, Mega Man X7, and Press Start. Why Square Enix and Tri-Ace port it to the PSP instead of the DS is a mystery to me. However, I still like the DS port of Chrono Trigger though.

Yep, that wrestler who did Mario in the SMB Super Show has died yesterday. Hell, I still have my tapes of that show and I planned on doing a parody of it years ago (around 2004). As cheesy as the SMB Super Show was, I liked it. Charles Martinet did a great job as that plumber, I'm starting to get a bit tired of his Mario and Luigi voices. (Fun Fact: Martinet was also the voice of Homonculus in Konami's Shadow of Memories.)

It sucks that this little-known legend died. He helped fight worldwide hunger with his research, and the fact that groups like Greenpeace wants to undo his contributions to the world is revolting. Is it any surprise that Patrick Moore left that god awful organization? It also sucks that Pat Swayze died, but Borlaug saved more people than anyone can imagine. (he's an American hero, goddammit!)

Because A: They'll find other ways to get into the country and B: It will keep illegal immigrants already within our borders in the country. 1. Swine Flu: Am I the only one on here who thinks that the hysteria surrounding it is bullshit!? Then again, I'm not the only one

2. Psi43: It's funny that this nimrod claims that he cares about animation when he has lots of free protection points and can't come up with any decent or original submissions himself.

3. Dustball and Gel: Here's two guys who can come up with original stuff that is of actual quality. Over There, Story Tag, Go Away, 99K, etc. are excellent stuff that probably still belongs in the Top 50. Plus, I'd like to see more reviews from these guys (seeing that they know what they are doing).

4. Kaori Yuki: When compared to Hayao Miyazaki, her stuff is excellent. In case you don't know, she created Angel Santuary and God Child.

5. Private Education: I've spent most of my high school years in a private school, and it beats the fuck out of public schools. Hell, take a look at India and Africa, they have market based education, and it's working pretty damn well.

6. President Obama: A lot of you will hate me for this, but he isn't that much different from Bush. Seriously, Obama supports a lot of the policies that W backed. (Do some goddamned research people.) Not to mention that most of the stuff he supports has been discredited worldwide. After all, if it is okay to trash Bush, then it's acceptable to trash Obama. That, of course, is called Freedom of Speech, which is protected under the First Amendment of the US Constitution. To all of those who will misinterperet this as 'racist'; I think that you need to shut up, step back, re-evaluate your lives, and realize that you are nothing but a bunch of cry-baby pussies.

7. No-God: Here's one guy who I think is underappreciated. For those who don't know, he was behind Celebemon, Crucify-Me Jesus (which needs to be remade), Impeach Clinton, etc. Back in 2000-2001, he used to make some politically incorrect shit along with EvilDave, Dom Price, Em Kaah, etc. When it came to debates, he was capable of making cogent arguments for or against something that hardly got refuted in spite of his spelling mistakes.

8. Blordow: Even though I like this guy's cartoons; I think it's time for him to quit doing piss takes and move on to more original ideas. You have to admit, he knew how to elicit laughter from lots of people.

Louisianians on Newgrounds: I've noticed that I'm not the only Louisianian on here years ago with Grim City (The Truth about God) and the guy who created Pac-Man goes Hi-Tech. While there are quite a few Louisianians on here, only a few of them have actually submitted cartoons here. I think I need to do something about that...

District 9: Good, but not worthy of the hype.
I just saw District 9 and while it was intense and well made; It's only worth watching once, and it seems that they were influenced by the TV show Alien Nation and Oddworld. Overall: 2.5 out of 5.

Finally, a CGI movie from an independent company, and a badass one at that. I'm not giving away the synopsis of the movie since that hasn't been uploaded; but it looks pretty fuckin' cool. Animated films went downhill after 2004 although Curious George is a rare fluke. Hell, it looks like it could knock down Ark, which is much better than most of the CGI stuff I've seen. I'd recommend this over most of the stuff that gets lots of hype only to turn out to suck half the time (Ex. Paprika, Pan's Labyrinth, Dogma, etc.).
